Postcard from Cavite City

On the other side of our planet exists a place that feels like home: Cavite City. Being on vacation in my parents’ hometown in the Philippines, I knew I wanted to make a video. When I finally found the time, I went out on the streets with my friend, Rusty, and started filming. The entire video was shot in 5 hours in two main locations. The Philippines in general is just so interesting to me. I love how everything looks cinematic – from the sea to the fisherman to the streets and the kids that live on them. It was lots of fun shooting this and Rusty kept me company as we stood for half-hours eating dunkin donuts as the camera recorded time lapses.
